Design for test and qualification through activity-based modelling in product architecture design

چکیده
Test and qualification (T&Q) phases take a significant portion of the time to market for critical products in space industry, especially when introducing new technologies. Since T&Q are treated as standard procedures, they tend be independent architectural design kept away from decisions. However, technologies, procedures may differ those established regular scenarios, estimation costs duration is problematic. There lack methods capable modelling these activities early use models support architecture with affordable test phases. In this article, computer-assisted, model-based method model concerning product designs proposed. Product alternatives, schedules cost connected through quantification drivers driver rates. The demonstrated using case study about electric propulsion satellites. applicable situations where choice technology has strong dependence on procedure.

Versatile Design and Ethical Architecture
Background: Following the spread of dissatisfaction with modern architecture, the machine attitude towards man, and the disregard for human values and human existential dignity, the global movement in support of independence and participation was formed in response to demographic and social realities. Recognized in 1988 as universal design, the movement allowed more people of all levels of ab...
متن کاملConstraints modelling in product design
The main objective of product design is to meet the functional requirements. Given the alternatives in the selection of materials, product conguration, the required manufacturing and assembly methods, and costs, design needs to satisfy various constraints imposed on these selections. To solve constraints in design, representation of constraints is a challenge facing the design engineers. This ...
متن کاملMeta-Modelling for Interoperability in Product Design
Interoperability of tools for product design relies on the utilization of common information models like ISO 10303 STEP. However STEP is based on the EXPRESS modelling language which is not supported by stateof-the-art software development tools. To reuse the huge repository of information models defined in the STEP Application Protocols transformations into other representations are needed. A ...
متن کاملDeveloping an analytical model for the formation of a design scenario in research-based design processes in architecture
Although many attempts have been made in presenting systematic models for design processes, most projects have been implemented by non-systematic methods, which seems that too much emphasis on the description of the final project (product) and the lack of attention to the design process are to be blamed for this. In this paper, a specific pattern of design scenario formation in the framework of...
متن کاملConcepts of Space in Computer Based Product Modelling and Design
The everyday understanding of space may be self-evident and unproblematic. However, as soon as we are asked for a formal definition, e.g. in the context of building classification or product modelling, the concept of space is subject of controversy and misunderstanding. To some, space is the emptiness in which things are embedded, i.e. something immaterial. To others, space has no separate exis...
